Welcome to Isernio’s inaugural blog post!

We hope this blog will serve as an informal place to share information, swap stories, exchange recipes and share interesting links (and yes, a bunch of sausage puns, of course). It wasn’t easy coming up with the name for this blog. We brainstormed a ton of ideas, everything from The Link Log to The Casing Chronicles to Seriously Sausage. We picked Isernio’s Fresh Sheet because we believe it encompasses so much more than just sausage, which is the goal of this blog. What do you think of the name? If you’ve got a great idea, we’d love to hear it.

A little bit about us: Our founder, Frank Isernio, started making sausage in a  basement in Georgetown with nothing more than a card table for a desk and a cardboard box for an in box, making deliveries out of the ice-filled trunk of his car. You can read more about Frank’s story, in his own words, here.

Isernio’s still calls Georgetown home, a small but thriving community in Seattle sandwiched between Tully’s Coffee headquarters and Boeing Field. We have a family of 20 employees, many of whom you can find in our bustling production plant at 4 a.m. every morning, where we make our all-natural sausages and ship them off to our wholesalers.

Now, tell us about you. Where are you from? What are some of your favorite Isernio’s products and recipes? Where do you buy them and how can we better serve you?
